1) Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- The Lamavia iOS application and its features.
- Any in-app webviews or webpages we operate that reference this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy does not cover third-party services that you may access via the Service. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
2) What Lamavia Does
Lamavia helps you transform video moments into captivating GIFs. You can select and edit clips, create shareable loops, and share your creations.
3) Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) cookies and similar technologies (where applicable).
3.1 Information you provide
- Account information (if you create or use an account): name, username, email address.
- Customer support: messages you send to support (including attachments) and contact details you provide.
- Media you choose to use: photos and videos you select for GIF creation; edits and settings you apply.
Face/biometric processing: Lamavia does not perform facial recognition or biometric identification, and does not create biometric templates.
3.2 Information we collect automatically
- Device and app information: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, and identifiers associated with the device/app instance.
- Usage data: feature usage and performance metrics.
- Crash logs: crash reports and diagnostics.
- Location (only if you allow it): approximate and/or precise location depending on your device settings and permission choice.
3.3 Cookies and similar technologies (where applicable)
If parts of the Service include web-based components, we may use cookies or similar technologies (which may include web beacons) to keep you signed in (where available), store preferences, and understand usage.
4) How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Create and export GIFs based on your selected media and edits.
- Personalize your experience (preferences, recent projects).
- Improve features, performance, and reliability.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests.

We do not sell your personal information.
5) Media Processing, Storage, and Deletion (Photos/Videos)
5.1 Default local storage
By default, GIF creation and media editing are designed to occur on your device, and created GIFs are stored locally unless you choose to share them.
5.2 One-time processing and deletion principles
- No facial recognition or biometric profiling.
- Media is processed only as needed to provide the feature.
- We do not use your photos/videos to train advertising systems or for marketing profiling.
5.3 If cloud processing is used for a feature
- Processing occurs on infrastructure controlled by Lamavia Team (our own servers).
- We do not share uploaded media or prompts with third parties for their independent use.
- We use the data only to provide the requested processing and then delete it promptly after processing completes.
- You control whether you upload content (for example, by enabling a feature or initiating an upload).
6) How We Share Information
We share information only in the following situations, and only to the minimum extent necessary:
- With your consent or at your direction (for example, when you share a GIF to another app).
- With service providers (processors) who process data only on our instructions to help operate the Service.
- For legal reasons to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to safeguards.
7) International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.
8) Security
- Encryption in transit and, where appropriate, encryption at rest.
- Access controls and least-privilege principles.
- Regular audits and monitoring.
- Backups and recovery procedures.
No system can be 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and controlling access to your device.
9) Data Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
- Account information: retained while your account is active.
- After account deletion: deleted or anonymized within 30 days (subject to legal/security needs).
- Usage analytics and device/app information: up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymized.
- Customer support content: up to 6 months, then deleted or anonymized.
- Media uploaded for one-time processing (if applicable): deleted promptly after processing completes.
10) Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict/ object, and withdraw consent.

11) Children and Age Limits (17+)
The Service is intended for users who are 17 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 17.
12) Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Effective Date”. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
